Empowering You To Take Your Equity Back!
Our mission is to help you improve your life and erase the racial inequity that has plagued Black Americans for centuries. Before we can move forward we need to know how we got here.
The state of the disparities that plague our community is deeply rooted in the systematic mistreatment of Black Americans. This has had a devastating effect on our financial standing in society.
The racial wealth gap in the United States is a complex and multifaceted issue that has deep historical roots and is influenced by a combination of social, economic, and systemic factors. Some of the key causes include the following:
Historical Injustices: Centuries of slavery, followed by segregation, discrimination, and unequal treatment under the law, have had a profound and lasting impact on African American communities. These historical injustices have limited access to opportunities for wealth accumulation.
Systemic Racism: Ongoing systemic racism in areas such as education, housing, employment, and criminal justice has contributed to persistent disparities in income and wealth.
Limited Access to Quality Education: Unequal access to quality education, including underfunded schools and lower college graduation rates, can limit employment prospects and earning potential for African Americans, affecting their ability to accumulate wealth.
Employment Disparities: African Americans often face higher unemployment rates and are in some sectors stuck in lower-paying service jobs with limited benefits or opportunities for career advancement. Black women are often paid less than any other group for doing the same job.
Housing Discrimination: Historical redlining and discriminatory lending practices have limited African Americans' access to homeownership and safe, stable housing, which is a significant source of wealth for many Americans.
Lack of Access to Financial Services: Limited access to affordable financial services, including banking and credit, can make it difficult for African Americans to save, invest, and build wealth.
Criminal Justice System: Over-policing, racial profiling, and disproportionate incarceration rates can disrupt families and lead to lost income and opportunities, further exacerbating the wealth gap.
Health Disparities: Health disparities, including lower life expectancy and higher medical expenses, can have a negative impact on wealth accumulation and financial stability. Poor treatment by doctors compared to other groups can lead to poor outcomes and increase costs.
Financial Literacy: Limited access to financial education and investment opportunities can affect the ability to make decisions to increase one's financial security. These obtables placed in front of us prevent us from moving forward financially while allowing the racial wealth gap to continue to grow. There is something you can do about it. Black Girl Equity, LLC offers assistance to help you improve your chances of acheving your goals.
I’m passionate about helping you understand your money and building your financial strengths. My goal is to help you set and achieve the goals you've always dreamed of for your family. It's time to break the generational curse and build strong futures for you and your family.
Black Girl Equity, LLC was created by a “Black Girl” who took her equity back. Equity is defined as the “quality of being fair or the equality of treatment.” For a Black Girl in America, there are a lot of inequities built into the system. When I go to the doctor, I am sometimes seen as a black patient rather than an individual. When this happens, there are varying degrees of assumptions made about me because of it, whether true or not. The same is true in politics
and education. Black people are not a monolith. We are individuals who have been affected, to our detriment, by systematic discrimination for centuries. This steals our fairness and equity.
Don't allow the disadvantages in the system to hold you back. I say, “Take Your Equity Back” and work to create a system where everyone has a real opportunity to be successful.
Everyone in America has the opportunity to live a better, more prosperous life, but some of us have to navigate around obstacles. Our goal at Black Girl Equity is to provide you with the information you need to improve your life.

Being successful requires you to think, plan, learn and act.
My financial plan was, “I did not want to be poor”.
It became, “I wanted to be financially comfortable”.
Now it is, “I wanted to be a millionaire”.
You’d be surprised what is possible for you, once you set your mind to it.
Think, Plan, Learn, Act!
